Umrah visa & documents, handled for you

Eligibility, vaccinations, biometrics and the Nusuk visa process — prepared and submitted on your behalf, so you never queue or guess.

For many first-time pilgrims from The Gambia, the paperwork is the most daunting part of Umrah. It needn't be. Golden Umrah manages your entire visa and documentation through Saudi Arabia's official Nusuk platform — you provide a few documents and we take care of everything else. This guide explains who can perform Umrah, exactly what you'll need, and how the process works from Banjul.

Who can perform Umrah?

Umrah is open to Muslims of all ages — first-timers, families, elders and children alike. Importantly, women travelling within an organised group no longer require a mahram, so solo female pilgrims are welcome within our groups. Whatever your circumstances, our advisors will confirm your eligibility and guide you through every requirement with patience.

The documents you'll need

The core documents are straightforward. Having them ready early makes the whole process smooth:

  • Passport — valid for at least six months beyond your return date.
  • Passport photographs — recent, with a plain white background. We'll confirm the exact specification.
  • Vaccination certificate — proof of the meningitis ACWY vaccine and any seasonal requirements. See our vaccination guide.
  • Personal details — your full name exactly as it appears on your passport, date of birth and contact information.

That's the essentials. Depending on the season, we'll let you know if anything else is needed — but you'll never be left guessing.

What is the Nusuk platform?

Nusuk is the official Saudi system through which Umrah visas and bookings are now processed. Rather than dealing with embassies or queues, applications are submitted electronically. The system is reliable, but it has its own steps and requirements — which is exactly where having an experienced agency saves you time and stress. We complete and submit your application correctly the first time.

How the visa process works with Golden Umrah

We keep it simple. Here's the journey from your side:

  1. You reserve your place and send us your passport details, photo and vaccination certificate.
  2. We complete and submit your Nusuk visa application on your behalf.
  3. We track the application and keep you updated until it's approved.
  4. Your approved visa is linked to your travel — ready for departure from Banjul.

No embassy visits, no forms to puzzle over, no risk of a small mistake delaying your trip. That's the point of an all-inclusive service.

How long does it take?

Once your documents are in, the visa is usually issued promptly. The one thing that causes delays is leaving it late — during busy seasons like Ramadan, demand is high and time is tight. Our strongest advice is to start early: reserve your place and send your documents as soon as you book, so everything is settled long before you fly. Wondering when to travel? See our best time for Umrah guide.

We handle the paperwork — you focus on the journey

The visa and documents are the practical gateway to a deeply spiritual experience. Our job is to make that gateway effortless: confirm your eligibility, gather a short list of documents, submit your Nusuk application, and keep your paperwork in order — so the only thing left for you to prepare is your heart.
